We ordered three Rhude tees and put them through the bench: weighed, measured, worn 14 days, washed twice. The 220g body and print quality held up; the labeled size did not match our usual fit.

Editor verdict
We ordered three tees and tested them on the bench. Weight and print quality scored well, the loose cut is as described, and the price is low; the unpredictable labeled fit and unverifiable fibre claim are what hold this to 4 / 5 rather than higher.

Who it suits
Buyers who want a boxy, letter-print cotton tee at a low price, are happy to size down or order by flat measurements, and will confirm options with their shopping agent first.
Who should skip
Anyone who needs a true-to-size or slim fit, wants a fit they can predict from the label alone, or expects verified fibre and finishing claims on the listing.

Our desk spends most of its hours on refractometers, hydrostatic rigs and jade bangles, so a stack of folded cotton tees is a change of equipment — not of method. We ordered the Rhude Streetwear T-Shirt Collection through a shopping agent, opened the parcel on the bench, and ran three pieces (a 5018 black, a 5015 white and a 5087 apricot) through the same sequence we use on stones: photograph, weigh, measure, log, wear, re-measure.
What we ordered and how we checked it
- The courier bag and inner poly bag were photographed before opening, and both were kept in a labeled bin — transit claims and retests depend on being able to see exactly what arrived.
- Each tee was weighed on a 0.001 g scale on arrival, then again after two home washes at 30 °C with a line dry.
- Flat measurements were taken with digital calipers: chest across the front, body length from the high-point shoulder, sleeve length and hem width.
- Shoulder seams, neckline and hem stitching were inspected at 10x, and print edges at 30x for cracking, bridging and registration drift.
- Odour was recorded on arrival, and each tee was worn on a 14-day rotation through hand soap, sunscreen and ordinary knocks.
Fabric weight and the 220 g claim
The listing specifies long-staple cotton on a 220 g body. Our three size-M samples weighed 213 g, 221 g and 224 g — a spread of about five percent, which is normal for garment-dyed cotton and close enough to the stated figure that we are comfortable calling the weight honest. The hand is dense and dry rather than soft and brushed, and the fabric blocks light without going stiff at the shoulder.
What our bench cannot do is identify long-staple cotton. There is no loupe, refractometer or scale reading that separates extra-long-staple fibre from ordinary upland cotton in a finished knit. Treat "long-staple" as a vendor description we recorded rather than a fact we verified.
| Claim on listing | What we measured | Status |
|---|---|---|
| 220 g fabric weight | 213–224 g per size-M tee | Consistent within batch spread |
| Long-staple cotton main fabric | No bench method available | Unverified vendor claim |
| Non-iron finish | Reduced creasing after line dry | Plausible, not absolute |
| Moisture-wicking function | Dries faster than a plain 180 g jersey | Directional, not measured in a lab |
Cut, collar and print registration
The silhouette is loose and boxy with a dropped shoulder feel and a collarless, banded neckline. Across the front, a size M measured 57 cm at the chest and 71 cm from high-point shoulder to hem, with a hem that sits near the hip on a 178 cm frame. Stitching was clean throughout: no skipped shoulder seam, no puckering at the neckline band, and the hem finished level on all three pieces. The letter and logo prints are the strong point — edges at 30x showed no bridging, no visible crackle through the white, and the apricot colourway kept its tone rather than going muddy.
Sizing is the weak point
Nothing in our order contradicted the category reputation. Buyer threads on r/Rhude lean toward going a full size down, and one r/streetwear buyer reported moving from their usual large to a small, while other owners keep their normal size in certain Rhude cuts. Retailer fit notes we checked divide the same way: one describes the tees as intended to be oversized with a recommendation to size down for a closer fit, another calls the relaxed cut true to size. Our own log entry for the size M reads plainly:
"M reads like a generous L on a 96 cm chest; correct if you want the intended slouch, one size too much if you want a fitted tee."
Because the fit is not uniform across the line, ask your agent for flat chest and length measurements of the exact style code before paying. That single step resolves most of the ambiguity.
Wash performance and the no-iron claim
After two 30 °C washes and line drying, the black and white samples lost no measurable length or width, and the apricot sample shrank about 1 cm in body length — inside the range we would accept. Creasing after drying was lighter than on a comparable untreated 200 g jersey, though the finish does not make the shirt press itself; a short hang settles most of it. Prints survived both washes without lifting or dulling.
Price, colour range and the agent step
The reference price is $8.51 USD against a listed $10.14, listed with SKU 7718829942 and marked in stock. That figure excludes agent service fees and international shipping, which is where the real cost of a single tee sits. This is a wide collection: dozens of style codes across black, white and apricot, in S, M, L and XL, all built on the same collarless pullover shape with letter and logo graphics. Because the run is long, verify the option list and the product-specific photographs rather than assuming one graphic matches another. Return terms are set by the agent you choose, not by the listing, so read them before consolidating a haul.
What we still could not confirm
No buyer-written claims attach to this specific SKU. The one seller-service review we found — fast dispatch and repeat purchasing — refers to a different Weidian Rhude-print listing, so it describes that seller's habits rather than this item's. Sizing guidance here is category-level, drawn from owner threads and retailer fit notes, and it stays uncertain by design. Everything we could measure, we measured; everything we could not, we have labelled as a claim.
